Apple has unveiled that OS X 10 will now be rebranded to macOS, to keep Apple’s most popular brands in line with the naming system of Apple: macOS, iOS, tvOS & watchOS. Farewell OS X, we’ve had a good running with you for over fifteen years!

Sierra is available to download later today for installation on to your macOS computers, after WWDC.
