The next item that apple talked about was their new Macbook Air, which weighs 2 lbs, and is 13.1 mm thin, with a .88 mm thick retina screen.

The Macbook comes with an edge to edge, full sized keyboard, supported with a butterfly mechanism, improving stability and typing experience overall. Each key has its own LED backlight, making it glow evenly, with improved visibility at darker light settings.

Also featuring on this Macbook Air, a Force Touch Trackpad, which can differentiate between a light tap and a soft press. It works with sensors, instead of the regular mechanism used on all current Macbooks.

The new Macbook Air is the first fanless Macbook, and claims to run all day (24 hours) in a single charge. It will also have a reversible USB-C Port, a universal port that supports 5 types of connections (USB Data, Power, Display Port,HDMI, VGA)

Colors available are Silver, Space Gray, and Gold.
